This game is definitely something different. The power of choice. You scour the post-apocolyptic wastelands as a lone nineteen year old. You grow up in a Vault, and when you turn 19, your dad has ran out of the Vault due to the Overseer. But why? As you ask yourself that, you go out of the Vault and are alone in the wastelands, while you search for Dad. In the game there are both main quests, which advance the story, and the side quests, which don’t advance the story, but can lead to other great things. The most interesting thing about Fallout 3 is the choices. There are tons of different options to explore, and many different outcomes, making this game endless, and the perfect game for multiple playthroughs to see what you get. You have something called Karma. If you do bad things such as steal things, and kill innocent people, you will have low Karma. If you help people out, and save little children, you will have good Karma. All of these factors make this game incredibly realistic. You will get over 50 hours of play into this masterpiece. Being an RPG, this obviously has to have some RPG elements. Although you use guns and have a first person view as you would have in first person shooters, there is something called VATS(Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) Which lets you slow down time, and aim for certain body parts. However, you can’t do it too many times as it is balanced with action points. You will face enemies such as Mole Rats, RadScorpions, and different variations of Super-Mutants. The only thing bad about this game are the glitches. There are some that are definetly noticable, but it rarely cuts into the overall experience. The choice and the amount of things you can do in this game makes it one of the best and unique experiences you’ll ever encounter. Buy it now!
